This article from Christianity Today titled “‘Offering Everything They Have’: How Small Churches Are Saving Lives in Brazil’s Floods,” shares how churches across Brazil have been pouring their resources and facilities into aiding those affected by recent floods. Though many of these congregations are small in number, they don’t let size affect their servant hearts. Egon Grimm Berg, executive secretary of the Baptist Convention of Rio Grande do Sul, said, “It’s like the offering of the widow in Luke 21. They are giving everything they have.”

This article from The Christian Chronicle titled “‘We both want to see souls win’: Basketball-loving brothers– and ministers– on opposite sides of Thunder-Mavericks playoff series,” features a relationship between two brothers who love basketball and the Lord. Tim and Mike Lewis decided to use their shared passion for basketball as a way to bring others to Christ. Though the two currently support rivalry basketball teams, one thing remains clear to the brothers, “We both want to see souls win.”

3. RESHAPING THE CHURCH: “‘God Lit a Match!’: Satanist Accepts Jesus During History-Breaking Mass Baptism as 12,000 People Immersed in California” by Billy Hallowell

This article from Faith Wire titled “‘God Lit a Match!’: Satanist Accepts Jesus During History-Breaking Mass Baptism as 12,000 People Immersed in California,” shares that over 6,000 people were baptized in Huntington Beach this past weekend. This spiritual awakening grew from Baptize California and Baptize SoCal, faith events hosted by Mark Francey, pastor of Oceans Church. “God lit a match yesterday!” Francey said, “If God can do this in the church in California, it can — and it will — happen in the rest of America!”
