1. RESHAPING THE CHURCH: “‘A little island of Ukrainians’ prays in the Tennessee woods” by Ted Parks

This article from The Christian Chronicle titled “‘A little island of Ukrainians’ prays in the Tennessee woods” highlights Camp Amerikraine, an annual meeting that has brought Ukrainian and American Christians together for over two decades. The retreat consists of around 65 people and gathers for three days at Valley View Camp in Nashville. Camp participants get a chance to enjoy outdoor activities while also wrestling with interpersonal conflicts. One participant, Jeff Abrams, stated, “There are a lot of broken hearts in Ukraine. And our brokenness doesn’t have to define who we are. That’s our story. We’re broken, but with the help of God, we’re mended.”
2. CHURCH HISTORY: “Archaeologists find ‘surprising’ discoveries at ancient Egyptian church” by Samantha Kamma

This article from Christian Post titled “Archaeologists find ‘surprising’ discoveries at ancient Egyptian church” uncovers excavations of an early Christian church in Egypt. Under the church’s ruins, archaeologists discovered 17 buried bodies — 12 of which would have been buried under the altar and pastophoria. Scientists are still conducting tests to gather further information about the bodies. For now, however, Project Director David Ratzan shared, “This is an exciting discovery and one that we expect will make a significant impact on the discussion of the history of early Christianity,”
3. RESHAPING THE CHURCH: “Bethel opens new church plant in Sydney” by Lydia Davies

This article from Premier Christian News titled “Bethel opens new church plant in Sydney” celebrates the launch of a church plant in Sydney, Australia. Bethel shared their excitement and vision for their new location, saying, “We believe this will be a place where people experience God directly. We’re convinced that Australia is on the cusp of something extraordinary, with a hunger for authentic encounters with the Holy Spirit, focused solely on the Gospel.” The announcement was officially made Nov. 3, 2024, and leaders at Bethel are excited to invigorate a spiritual revival across Australia’s east coast.
