This Christian Post article, titled “Iranians secretly translating the Bible into their heart languages to share Christ with their people,” shows how translators share the Word, one language at a time. Through the help of unfoldingWord, a translating agency Christians in Iran and across the globe share the Word in people’s native languages. Evan Thompson, an unfoldingWord representative, emphasizes the importance of this translation, saying, “You can start a church, but if that church doesn't have the Bible in its heart language, it will typically only last one generation.”

2. BIG QUESTIONS: “‘Do you think I am still a Christian?’” by Martin Thielen

This Baptist News article, titled “‘Do you think I am still a Christian?’” emphasizes the difference between Christianity and what Martin Thielen calls “Jesusanity.” Thielen goes into the struggle certain people feel when they feel connected to Jesus as a human but not as the Son. “Jesusanity” is defined by “behavior, not belief” and begs the question “Is it authentic Christianity?”

3. BEYOND CHURCH: “Everyday Christian: Making Sure God’s Message Doesn’t Get Lost in Translation” by Sofia Walia

This Eternity News article, titled “Everyday Christian: Making Sure God’s Message Doesn’t Get Lost in Translation,” emphasizes the importance of Biblical translations. Following her internship at Bible Society, Sofia Walia discovered the time, care and teamwork that went into translating the Bible. She saw for the first time how essential it was to have the Bible translated into one’s “heart language” so one can know that “God loves and speaks to us individually.”
