This Barna article, titled “Most Seniors Desire to Grow Spiritually—Are Churches Meeting This Need?” highlights a spiritual call in need of attention. Most churches find themselves ill-equipped to guide those later in life spiritually, but how can they change this? The key is to equip senior adults to “grow, lead and serve” rather than just place them in community with their peers.
