1. RESHAPING THE CHURCH: “Churches can offer a sanctuary as youth increasingly struggle with mental health issues” by Chris Eyte

    This article from Christian Daily titled “Churches can offer a sanctuary as youth increasingly struggle with mental health issues” highlights the work of Sanctuary Mental Health Ministries, which runs a campaign for youth adults during Mental Illness Awareness Week. Lizzy Ojo Martens, a spokeswoman for Sanctuary Mental Health Ministries, said that “mental health touches all of us, including those of us in the church.” The church seeks to provide a space for young adults to offer spiritual companionship, friendship and prayer– all vital ingredients to a healthy walk with Christ here on earth.


    2. EDITORIAL: “God Equips The Called” by Michael Sturek

    This article from True Christian Magazine titled, “God Equips The Called” lifts up different examples from the Bible to show that God does not call the equipped, but He equips whom He has called. Highlighting Paul’s spiritual journey, Michael Sturek encourages believers to focus upon building a humble posture and a readiness to accomplish God’s will for our lives. Sturek shared, “If we are in Christ, then we are all called by God – no matter how equipped we may think we are.”



    3. RESHAPING THE CHURCH: “Hurricane Milton Strikes Florida, Churches Respond in Times of Crises” by The Gospel Herald Editors

    This article from The Gospel Herald titled “Hurricane Milton Strikes Florida, Churches Respond in Times of Crises” highlights the churches stepping up to serve their communities following recent hurricanes. One of these churches is CityLife Church in Tampa, now operating a storm shelter, offering emergency supplies in their church and sending out volunteers weekly. Idlewild Baptist Church and Christ Fellowship Church are pulling together volunteer lists to coordinate with and support first responders. As the Gospel Herald puts it, “Together as the body of Christ, brothers and sisters are praying and holding onto God's faithfulness and promises in these times of tribulations. May the Lord be with all who are affected by the storm.”
