1. RESHAPING THE CHURCH: “Bring Your Bible Day Aims to Encourage Students and Adults to Share Their Faith Everywhere” by Elizabeth Delaney

This article from Crosswalk Headlines titled “Bring Your Bible Day Aims to Encourage Students and Adults to Share Their Faith Everywhere” introduces the tenth year of Bring Your Bible Day, a tradition that encourages believers to openly express their faith. While much of the movement was centered around empowering young Christian students to bring their Bibles to school, this year, adults are also being encouraged to bring their Bibles to work. The previous year witnessed the participation of over 1,000,000 students and 50,000 schools. Emerson Collins, project manager of Bring Your Bible Day, said, “In an effort to instill and maintain the faith, we said ‘let's include parents as participants this year and add young adults, who are the peers and mentors of young students who are in school.’”


2. RESHAPING THE CHURCH: “After Hurricane Helene, Faith Groups Ramp Up Disaster Relief” by Bob Smietana

This article from Church Leaders titled “After Hurricane Helene, Faith Groups Ramp Up Disaster Relief” highlights the bolstering relief efforts of the Southern Baptist Convention in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. Collaborating with the Salvation Army, Southern Baptists seek to provide 10,000 meals a day through mobile kitchens established throughout Georgia and Florida. Though natural disasters continue to persist, faith groups like Southern Baptist Convention are on the move, ready to serve their fellow communities.


3. RESHAPING THE CHURCH: “Second Christian Convert Freed From Jail in Iran” by Donna Birrell

This article from Premier Christian News titled “Second Christian Convert Freed From Jail in Iran” celebrates the release of Mehdi Akbari after being imprisoned in Iran for nearly five years. Akbari applied for retrial to the Supreme Court on five separate occasions; though the first four applications were rejected, the last one was fortunately accepted and ultimately, resulted in Akbari’s release. Akbari’s story invigorates hope and invites prayer for the many other believers still in jail.
